National Register of Groomers and Grooming Training Centres

Welcome to I Groom Dogs, the National Register of Groomers and Training Centres

An independent not-for-profit community

There is no doubt that we all love to see our dog (or cat or rabbit) looking its best  But how  do you find a really good and experienced groomer? Clicking onto Google will bring up some names - many of them excellent groomers, but how much to you know about them, what services do they provide and how much experience have they had? It can be difficult to choose.

Every dog is different as is every owner- so many dogs, even though their coats may look the same, are likely to be unique and need expert care - and you will want a groomer to present your dog beautifully, providing the same level of service you expect from your own hairdresser.  Basic washing, bathing and brushing is straight forward but a good, experienced groomer will work with you and your dog/s as individuals.  The Natuonal Register of Groomers and Grooming Training Centres provides you with the information you need to find a suitable groomer with whom you and you dog can build a personal relationship - someone you can turn to for general advice about your dog too.

All members of the National Register of Groomers are professionals and they have signed up to the Code of Best Practice which has been developed by the Animal Care College based on the best the grooming sector has to offer. (You can read the code by clicking on the Code of Practice tab in the left hand column of this Home Page).

Those names with an 'arrow' symbol (>) have provided extended details about their knowledge and experience.
